Life in the slow lane

There’s no fast lane in Bocas del Palo. Things move along at a pretty relaxed pace. This is one of the roads in town. I don’t know whose clothes these were, since there didn’t seem to be a house nearby. I may go back there again with Juan someday to wander around the town and take photos of ordinary things and life as it is. That would be fun for me. It’s always challenging to get good and natural photos of everyday life. But, that’s what makes the life of a photographer fun and exciting. You meet people and get to experience their lives for a short time. You try to make meaningful and realistic photos in that short time that can show what it’s like to be that person in that place. It doesn’t matter if you get paid or not. It’s all about making the photos and the pleasure you receive when you see a great shot.

  1. I envy the life and opportunities you have. So much creative, easy-going fun. Keep it up!

  2. Yeah, Dave. As the song goes…’s not about the money, money…… I don’t remember any more of it. I keep trying to find interesting things to do and things to photograph.
