This is my 1,111th post. Cool! Today was a lot of exercise. First, I went to run laps on the track around the hockey rink on Calle 9. I’m thinking of running the 10K in Cali on Dec. 16. I haven’t run one in over 6 years at least. I can’t remember the last one I did. It’s probably crazy, but I think I can do it. I decided to see how many laps I could run today. I ran 4 miles. I also walked to and from the track which was probably a total of 4 miles or more. I did it okay, but was sweating a lot. At least I have time to practice some before the actual race.
Then, this afternoon I walked to the downtown area of La Plazoleta de San Francisco for the Fiesta de San Pacho. There was nothing going on when I arrived late, of course. I waited and some of the performers were waiting too. Others arrived an hour or so later. I wandered around taking photos. A lot of portrait type photos since there wasn’t much going on. Eventually, all the different dancers and costumed people gathered in the middle of the plaza. They were introduced and they just grouped together. There was no program. At least in the nearly 3 hours I spent there. I finally gave up close to 5 p.m. and left. I had some nice photos so I was happy. This evening, my body is tired from all the walking and exercise. Oh, this photo is of one of the dancers. He was waiting for something to start. I like to walk around the fringes of events, looking for photos. A lot of times, that’s where I get interesting shots.
