I hiked on the Lost Dutchman’s Mine trail recently. I started at noon with a bottle of water and an energy bar. It was only about 87 degrees F. I enjoyed the hike and saw lots of birds, rabbits, lizards and two deer I startled. I didn’t see a rattlesnake this time, however. I’m always on the lookout for them though.

I’ve been reading a book on Mexico City. I’m thinking of heading there in a couple of weeks or so. I may stay there a week with a side trip to San Miguel de Allende. Then, afterwards, I’m still thinking about a trip to Havana for a week to photograph. I’ve also been thinking about heading back to Colombia until late May. I would like to do more photography in Siloé and maybe publish a book on it eventually. I don’t have any definite plans yet and that feels a little strange.

I’m spending a lot of time with my 2 year old grandson, Alan, now. He’s a lot of fun.
